Hays has been recognized twice as one of the Top 100 Healthcare Executives in the talent-rich Nashville market, a multi-year Nashville In Charge Healthcare recipient, as well as honored with the Nashville Business Journal’s Healthcare Hero Award.
Hays is widely recognized as one of the most connected people in healthcare. He is often seen interviewing leading Provider Executives and Co-Hosting the popular Supply Chain Podcast, PowerSupply. His video interviews have received 100,000+ views on LinkedIn. A client once said, “Hays doesn’t know everybody, but he sure knows every somebody!”
In 2020-2021 he was nominated and participated in Heartbeat of Healthcare, a healthcare industry recognition program that consists of many of the top industry leaders.
Hays lives in Franklin, TN, just 20 minutes south of Nashville. He is an active leader in the Franklin community, having served on various Boards of Directors, naemly The Williamson County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Franklin Transit Authority, a position appointed by the Franklin Mayor. Over the years, he has also served closely with the Citizens Police Academy and Franklin Tomorrow. Additionally, he serves on multiple company boards and is also an advisor to numerous others.
He has been married to Peggy for 27 years, and they have two sons, Hays and Duke, and two dogs, Boss Man and Brody.

Mr. Skinners work is currently focused in the areas of vendor management, strategic sourcing, expense management and integrated supply chain operations. His mission supporting a patient centered approach with quality and value supports the overall efficacy of a successful healthcare supply chain. Prior to launching of Discover S3, Mr. Skinner held his own consulting firm GSC, Inc., responsible for services/supplies direct to hospital systems, ambulatory surgery centers and physician clinics. More detailed responsibilities were reduction of both supply and purchased services, successful transition through mergers and acquisitions, and optimization of supply chain operations. Mr. Skinner holds a Master Degree of Science from the University of Idaho and Bachelor of Science from Lewis Clark State College.

He is passionate about professional development and has served on the Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) education committee since 2019. He has been a Certified Materials and Resource Professional since 2013 and became a Fellow of the Association of Healthcare Materials Management in May of 2021. He also is a Certified Associate in Project Management through the Project Management Institute. After earning his MBA he was interested in teaching and has recently started working as an adjunct business instructor at Linn-Benton Community College where he teaches business process improvement.
